- FTP
FTP or file transfer protocol is used to connect two computers over the Internet so that the user of one computer can transfer files and perform file commands on the other computer.
Specifically, FTP is a commonly used protocol for exchanging files over any network that supports the TCP/IP protocol (such as the Internet or an intranet). There are two computers involved in an FTP transfer: a server and a client. The FTP server, running FTP server software, listens on the network for connection requests from other computers. The client computer, running FTP client software, initiates a connection to the server. Once connected, the client can do a number of file manipulation operations such as uploading files to the server, download files from the server, rename or delete files on the server and so on. Any software company or individual programmer is able to create FTP server or client software because the protocol is an open standard. Virtually every computer platform supports the FTP protocol. This allows any computer connected to a TCP/IP based network to manipulate files on another computer on that network regardless of which operating systems are involved (if the computers permit FTP access). There are many existing FTP client and server programs.[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FTP]
Disadvantage : You must have FTP client program,if you use internet on internet cafe some cafe dose not has it. What do you do?

- Electronic Mail
Electronic mail (abbreviated "e-mail" or, often, "email") is a store and forward method of composing, sending, storing, and receiving messages over electronic communication systems. The term "e-mail" (as a noun or verb) applies both to the Internet e-mail system based on the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) and to intranet systems allowing users within one organization to e-mail each other. Often these workgroup collaboration organizations may use the Internet protocols for internal e-mail service.[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_Mail]
Disadvantage : Your file can not sharing with other people or you must to tell your e-mail account. Are you sure to do that?

- bit torrent
BitTorrent is the name of a peer-to-peer (P2P) file distribution protocol, and of a free software implementation of that protocol. The protocol was originally designed and created by programmer Bram Cohen, and is now maintained by BitTorrent, Inc.. BitTorrent is designed to distribute large amounts of data widely without incurring the corresponding consumption in costly server and bandwidth resources. CableLabs, the research organization of the North American cable industry, believes that BitTorrent represents 55% of the upstream traffic on the cable company's access network.[1] CacheLogic puts that number at roughly 35% of all traffic on the Internet,[2] although there are dissenting opinions on the methodology to measure P2P traffic on the Internet.[3]
The original BitTorrent client was written in Python. Its source code, as of version 4.0, has been released under the BitTorrent Open Source Licence, which is a modified version of the Jabber Open Source Licence. There are numerous compatible clients, written in a variety of programming languages, and running on a variety of computing platforms.[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit_torrent]
Disadvantage : This way is useful for sharing your file to your friend but you and your friend must have bit torrent client porogram.

What is Internet?
The Internet is the worldwide, publicly accessible network of interconnected computer networks that transmit data by packet switching using the standard Internet Protocol (IP). It is a "network of networks" that consists of millions of smaller domestic, academic, business, and government networks, which together carry various information and services, such as electronic mail, online chat, file transfer, and the interlinked Web pages and other documents of the World Wide Web.[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet]

What is web browser?
A web browser is a software application that enables a user to display and interact with text, images, and other information typically located on a web page at a website on the World Wide Web or a local area network. Text and images on a web page can contain hyperlinks to other web pages at the same or different websites. Web browsers allow a user to quickly and easily access information provided on many web pages at many websites by traversing these links.
Web browsers available for personal computers include Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Netscape, and Opera, in order of descending popularity (as of August 2006).[1] Web browsers are the most commonly used type of HTTP user agent. Although browsers are typically used to access the World Wide Web, they can also be used to access information provided by web servers in private networks or content in file systems[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_browser]

What is file?
As far as the operating system is concerned, a file is in most cases just a sequence of binary digits. At a higher level, where the content of the file is being considered, these binary digits may represent integer values or text characters, or anything else; Turing completeness shows that the bits might represent anything. It is up to the program using the file to understand the meaning and internal layout of information in the file and present it to a user as a document, image, song, or program. At any instant in time, a file might have a size, normally expressed in bytes, that indicates how much storage is associated with the file. In most modern operating systems the size can be any whole number up to a system limit. However, the general definition of a file does not contstain its instant size as having any real meaning, unless the data within the file happens to correspond to data within a pool of persistent storage.[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_file#File_contents]

what is bit?
A bit (binary digit) refers to a digit in the binary numeral system, which consists of base 2 digits (ie. There are only 2 possible values: 0 or 1). For example, the number 10010111 is 8 bits long. Binary digits are almost always used as the basic unit of information storage and communication in digital computing and digital information theory. Information theory also often uses the natural digit, called either a nit or a nat. Quantum computing also uses qubits, a single piece of information with a probability of being true. The bit is also a unit of measurement, the information capacity of one binary digit. It has the symbol bit, and less formally b (see discussion below). The unit is also known as the shannon, with symbol Sh.[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bit]

What is byte?
A byte is commonly used as a unit of storage measurement in computers, regardless of the type of data being stored. It is also one of the basic integral data types in many programming languages.Originally a variable number of bits smaller than a word, the popularity of IBM's System/360 starting in the 1960s and the explositon of home computers based on 8-bit microprocessors in the 1980s have obsoleted any meaning other than 8 bits. The term octet is widely used as a synonym when greater certainty is desired.[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte]

Measurement unit of File size.
8 bit = 1 byte
1024 Byte = 1 KB
1024 KB = 1 MB
1024 MB = 1 GB
1024 GB = 1 TB
1024 TB = 1 PB
